Welcome to the Building Services Website

THERE WILL BE NO BUILDING/MECHANICAL OR PLUMBING INSPECTIONS ON THURSDAY JULY 29TH OR FRIDAY JULY 30TH DUE TO MANDATORY TRAINING.   

The Building Services Team is responsible for activities related to the construction, remodeling, repair and demolition of buildings and structures including their interiors. By reviewing building permit applications, issuing building and related permits, checking plans, and inspecting buildings and properties the Team can ensure compliance with applicable codes and ordinances. The Team is responsible for enforcing all applicable building, mechanical, accessibility, plumbing, and housing codes and laws adopted by the City and State to ensure a safe and habitable building environment.

  *Electronic submittals/revisions are accepted through the website for RESIDENTIAL submittals only.  COMMERCIAL submittals/revisions require one paper set and one cd in pdf format to be submitted at the customer service counter from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  

All revisions and/or additional information requires a routing/revision form available under Application.  

OFFICE HOURS : 8 :00 A.M. TO 5 :00 P.M. Monday-Friday

Inspectors are available from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM

BECOME LEAD-SAFE CERTIFIED BY APRIL 22, 2010

Beginning April 22, 2010, any contractor-from plumbers to electricians to painters to window replacement experts- who disturbs more than six square feet of lead paint while working on a pre-1978 home, school or day care center, must be Lead-Safe Certified. Those who aren't could face tens of thousands of dollars in fines per violation, per day and potential lawsuits.
